EXPERIENCE THE PANTANAL

See. Feel. Be moved.

Our activities were designed for you to explore the diverse landscapes of the Pantanal do Salobra at different times of the day, prioritizing the most enjoyable hours with the highest likelihood of encountering the region’s fauna and flora.

The Salobra River, originating from the Serra da Bodoquena, stands out prominently among many Pantanal rivers, notably for its crystal-clear waters throughout the year. State law prohibits fishing. That ensures a tranquil environment free from the noise pollution of boats.

Activities are thoughtfully chosen based on weather conditions and the season. They are preferably scheduled for early morning and mid-afternoon to escape the intense midday sun, During these hours, the movement of animals and birds increases, enhancing the likelihood of captivating sightings.

When is the best time to enjoy the Pantanal?

The water level is generally low, concentrating animals in certain areas from June to October. Which animals can be observed on the tours?

The Pantanal is the world’s largest floodplain. It houses the largest concentration of fauna in the Americas. The Pantanal Biome is directly responsible for Brazilian biomes holding the greatest biodiversity on the planet. Lodge tours have observed over 39 mammal species, including the majestic jaguar and puma, more than 340 bird species, 2 caiman species, and a multitude of other Pantanal flora and fauna. Caimans are easily found around the ecolodge. Capybara families together with capuchin and howler monkeys frequently visit the riparian forests. Giant otters are often spotted in the surrounding waters. During the dry season, anteaters roam the savannas and the chances of seeing jaguars increase significantly. Despite their elusive nature and difficulty in spotting, we record many sightings every year, especially from June to October.
